20 Worst WWE Matches Since 2000

3. Brock Lesnar Vs. Goldberg (WrestleMania XX)

Brock Lesnar and Goldberg's most recent WWE feud was a complete success. It popped ratings, got people talking, and created a real sense of buzz around the company, and while there was no real need to bring the Universal Title into the equation, the duo at least concluded their rivalry with a thrilling all-out brawl at WrestleMania 33.

It's a good job the rematch succeeded, because their first 'Mania bout was the pits - primarily through a lack of trying.

Both performers were on their way out of the promotion, and neither wanted to exert themselves on their last night with the company. They spent much of the bout staring each other down without actively engaging, but barely broke out of second gear even when they started trading moves, and they crowd responded accordingly.

Lesnar and Goldberg were showered with hatred. The lack of activity coupled with the knowledge of their imminent departures created an impossible hostile attitude, but the performers couldn't have cared less, and continued at the same glacial pace.

The disgraced participants marched out of the company in dismal fashion, with only special guest referee Steve Austin's two post-match Stunners drawing noticeable crowd pops.
