20 Worst WWE Matches Since 2000

1. Pat Patterson Vs. Gerald Brisco (King Of The Ring 2000)

While Pat Patterson and Gerald Brisco were strong in their role as Vince McMahon's corporate stooges towards the end of the Attitude Era, that should've been the extent of their contributions. Aged 59 and 55 respectively, Patterson and Brisco had no business being in the ring anymore, and even less competing in the hardcore division, but WWE still chose to enforce their godawful 2000 feud upon the audience.

This Hardcore Evening Gown clash scored -*** on Dave Meltzer's match-rating system, but should've broken the scale. It was appalling.

The ageing Hall-Of-Fames looked grotesque in their gowns, and were soundly humiliated throughout a contest designed to provide some light comic relief. Patterson shoved a banana and a sanitary towel down his partner's throat, Brisco hit a bronco buster in his gown, and the crowd dumped all over it, filling the building with jeers throughout this wretched flop.

Crash Holly's interference provided a fortunate respite, as the multi-time Hardcore Champion took advantage of the belt's 24/7 rule to pin Pat after just three minutes, ending the contest before it hit full flow, earning our eternal gratitude in the process.
