In December 2000, there were rumors swirling that The Undertaker and Kane were planning a reunion, something that threatened The Rock and his attempt to win the Royal Rumble in January and head to the main event of WrestleMania. With the issues between the American Badass and the Great One intensifying, WWE Creative leaned on its booking crutch, pairing them up to challenge Edge and Christian for the WWE Tag Team Championships. Again, tag team partners who hate each other wound up knocking off the best tag team the company to offer in Edge and Christian. Worse yet? They held the titles for just one day. ONE DAY. WWE Creative made the decision to switch the titles from Edge and Christian, to Undertaker and Rock, and back again. It was stupid booking that resulted in two of the greatest Superstars in the company's long and illustrious history ending up on a "worst" list they never should have been in a position to populate in the first place.
Erik Beaston is a freelance pro wrestling writer who likes long walks in the park, dandelions and has not quite figured out that this introduction is not for Match.com. He resides in Parts Unknown, where he hosts weekly cookouts with Kane, The Ultimate Warrior, Papa Shango and The Boogeyman. Be jealous.
