20 Worst WWE Tag Team Champions Ever

2. John Cena And David Otunga

John Cena and David Otunga? They were tag team champions? The answer to that question is "yes," if only for one night. See, Cena had lost a match to Wade Barrett at Hell in a Cell and as a result, was forced to become a member of the Nexus. As a result, he was under Barrett's rule, leading to his pairing with Otunga and a match against Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre for the WWE Tag Team Championship at Bragging Rights in October 2010. Cena would capture the titles for his team but, one night later, was forced to lay down for Justin Gabriel and Heath Slater, ending his run just one night after it began. The pairing was a plot device in the ongoing story involving Cena and the Nexus rather than legitimate champions, dooming the titles to further irrelevance at a time when tag team wrestling was as weak as it had been in a decade.
