20 Wrestlers Who Went Viral

"A LITTLE BIT OF THE BUBBLY!"

"Have we missed any? Leave some of your favourites in the comments below!"

We definitely missed some, so please leave your favourites in the comments below. This much we know. Memes are potentially everything and everything's potentially a meme in the social media age, if the world is still even in that. Ideas and information move at such a clip that by the time you're reading this there's every chance a wrestler featured within has been cancelled (or cancelled again) and the celebration of an image or gif of them will render your writer cancelled with it. Or at very least memed into obscurity.

The wrestling world has become both benefactor and curator thanks to ultra-talented folk online making videos, observations or both whenever something bizarre occurs. Or sometimes even when it doesn't. The company - having established a mammoth presence online - still make sure to milk as much of their moments across platforms as they can, even if Michael Cole's substantially cut down his mentions of Twitter trends and about three thousand boxes of TOUT t-shirts continue to gather dust in a Stamford warehouse.

These are ones that have taken on a life of their own, mostly due to the global boypopping contest that is Twitter - the place where white text, sh*te text and gifs are still king. And speaking of a King...

Kurt Angle was booked like a total goof for almost all of his time back with WWE. Inadvertently capturing the flawed arc perfectly, this image of Triple H preparing to punch clueless Kurt in the face became a treat for audiences looking to express how the game of life had knocked them clean out too.
