20 Wrestlers You Totally Forgot Held WWE Championships

WWE’s Hardcore Championship started life as one of Vince McMahon’s many attempts at recreating ECW’s success in his home court. Its wild, uncontrollable brawls were a staple of the Attitude Era, and barely a show would pass without the title changing hands once or twice.

The 24/7 rule meant that the champion could be pinned at any time, in any place, so long as a referee was present. This stipulation saw a number of nutty title changes over the years, and it’s through this rule that Raven currently stands as the single most decorated champion in WWE history. He has an astonishing 27 Hardcore Title reigns to his name, though few lasted longer than a single minute.

Shawn Stasiak didn’t accomplish much in WWE, but he was able to win the Hardcore belt on 15 occasions. Granted, being Hardcore Champion was a pretty meaningless accolade, but Stasiak was a staple of the division in WWE’s post-Invasion landscape. He spent months trading the belt with the likes of Justin Credible and Stevie Richards, though his 15 reigns lasted a cumulative total of less than two hours.
