20 Wrestlers You Totally Forgot Held WWE Championships

14. Men On A Mission (Tag Team Champions)

Men On A Mission are memorable for a number of reasons. With their colourful attire, positive message, and “infectious” entrance theme, MOM made a name for themselves in WWE’s mid-90s tag scene.

In Mabel, they had the most maligned King of the Ring winners in history. In Oscar, they had a happy-go-lucky rapping manager who looked to inspire hope with his words. In Mo, they had… eh… a guy named Mo.

When you think of Men On A Mission, you think of their cringeworthy gimmick and Mabel’s failings as King. You don’t, however, think of their brief run as WWE Tag Team Champions, which started at a London house show in March 1994. Mabel and Mo defeated The Quebecers to seal the win, but it was never supposed to happen.

The belts changed hands because Mabel literally fell on Pierre Ouellet, stunning him, and rendering him unable to make his scripted kick-out. WWE rectified the situation in Sheffield two days later, but the title change was reported on WWE television, and lies on in their title history.
