The 4 February 2020 edition of AEW Dark marked the AEW debut for one Colin Delaney, as he teamed with Shawn Spears in a losing effort to Best Friends.
If you recall, this was part of Spears' utterly dreadful schtick of finding the right tag team partner, going through everyone from Peter Avalon to Preston Vance to Robert Anthony. It was tremendously bad, which makes it stick out in AEW's history books because of their otherwise exceptional story arcs. This one, terrible arc is up there with the Nightmare Collective and that Dark Order beatdown.
Still, it got Delaney back in a major promotion in a fifteen-minute long match, which seems far too long for something like this. Regardless, Delaney was good here, hitting a neat top-rope Stunner, and perfectly selling for Best Friends; his full body rotation off of a Sexy Chucky Knee was gorgeous to watch
