11. The No Limit Soldiers

Just how badly can you misjudge your audience? When you're WCW in 1999, that's almost a trick question. The No Limit Soldiers were essentially rapper Master P's stable, though he only made one appearance. They were supposed to be a face stable; however, when a very southern-styled Curt Hennig offered a custom-made cowboy hat to rapper Silkk The Shocker as a birthday present to make up for prior incidents, they rejected it with a stomp before attacking Hennig with Silkk's birthday cake. Not only did this not please the southern crowd (WCW's core audience) in New Orleans, but the heelish bullying actions taken by the Soldiers led to general confusion overall. By themselves, the musical connection beyond the presence of Master P would have been tenuous- perhaps too much for this list, even- except that their actions against Hennig did lead to another musical act forming and taking on the No Limit Soldiers with their sung declaration that "Rap is Crap"...
