13. Josh Matthews Talks About Bully Ray Like He's Dead
Ever since Bully Ray was mysterious attacked a few weeks ago, TNA has been relatively circumspect about discussing the nature of his condition or when he might return. Of course, this is because Bully parted ways with TNA at the end of July and even appeared on WWE's Raw this past week alongside his Dudley Boyz tag team partner D-Von. This week Bully got another brief namedrop, with Josh Matthews saying, "Bully Ray's not coming back, the law of Impact Wrestling is gone." The lack of explanation about his condition only makes his exit sound more hilarious and bizarre: why even bother commenting on him at all if they clearly begrudge mentioning him so much? Saying definite phrases like "he's not coming back" and that he's "gone" implies a certain finality which feels tantamount to TNA basically killing him off. One can't imagine Bully is too fussed about this when he rakes in those WWE guest star dollars, though...
