3. Sting's First Nitro Match In Almost Eighteen Months
Throughout Nitro, the announcers kept hyping Sting facing off against the Macho Man but for some reason they didn't sell the fact that The Icon hadn't wrestled on Nitro since the September of 1996. It seemed only natural that they'd want to hype that element of the main event, but WCW. When Sting came down from the rafters of the Alamo Dome and stood face-to-face with Savage, the fans were going nuts with anticipation. I myself had goosebumps just watching it. Even though it was a seven minute match that didn't amount to much of anything (which is actually part of a bigger issue), it was a great visual to see The Stinger in his gear on Nitro wrestling again like he used to.
