20 WWE Champions Who Never Got Their Rematch

8. Bret Hart

Title Lost: Intercontinental Championship Lost Title To: The Mountie This is proof that sometimes it€™s better to be lucky than good. In 1992, Hart (who in storyline was suffering from the flu) dropped the Intercontinental Championship to The Mountie, who in turn lost the championship to €œRowdy€ Roddy Piper at the Royal Rumble two days later. No one ever would have thought that the Mountie was championship material, but his number got called and he got himself a two-day IC title reign. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KNVlEj6N9HA Hart would go on to beat Piper three months later at WrestleMania VIII and then have a classic IC title match at SummerSlam that year against Davey Boy Smith, so Hart did OK for himself as IC champ that year. Plus we got the classic moment of Piper winning his only WWE singles title, so that€™s an added bonus.
