20 WWE Champions Who Never Got Their Rematch

7. €œRowdy€ Roddy Piper

Title Lost: WWF Intercontinental Championship Lost Title To: Bret Hart The Rowdy One€™s lone singles title in WWF/E was more of a victory lap in 1992 for the unretired superstar. (Who could have predicted a 2006 Tag Team Championship run for Piper and Ric Flair?) But for Piper, the Intercontinental Championship had to represent a huge €˜thank you€™ from WWE for his contributions throughout the years. When he lost the title to Bret Hart at WrestleMania VIII, Piper never challenged his real-life cousin to a rematch, quietly leaving WWE for nearly two years (with only a couple guest appearances). One can only wonder if he actually was trying to step away from wrestling and into retirement. If that€™s the case, he€™s relapsed a couple dozen times in the past 20-plus years.
