20 WWE Stars STRUGGLING Since WrestleMania 40

9. Ashante "Thee" Adonis and Cedric Alexander

All the way back in January, Ashante "Thee" Adonis met with SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis about how he's hungry for an opportunity. Aldis said he believed in him and had some ideas for the future. Several weeks later, a new tag team was forged when Adonis was paired up with Cedric Alexander for a vignette.

And that's the last fans saw of them as a duo on television, somehow, as their grand total of five fights since have all been dark matches.

WWE must not see enough in them worth trotting out to the watchers at home. Is it too much to ask for some hype videos or vignettes to set them up as potential tag title contenders, even if they end up jobbing out to Austin Theory and Grayson Waller? The division could sure use more teams, so why waste them?

On their own, their singles careers haven't been any better. Alexander was squashed by Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed, while Adonis hasn't wrestled a singles bout since losing a dark match to Butch in September 2023.

Is this team ever going to go anywhere, or were they dead on arrival?
