Simply put, Davey Boy Smith and Cesaro are two of the strongest pound-for-pound guys to ever compete in a WWE ring. Throw in that they’re both European, have backgrounds in tag team wrestling, and are deftly quick and smooth for their size and you have even more similarities.

Unfortunately for both, neither were great on the microphone, although Cesaro is improving in that respect.

Despite many thinking of him as a hulking power guy, Davey was mighty quick on his feet during his early days in the WWF, managing to beautifully mix power, speed and agility as one half of the legendary British Bulldogs. Cesaro himself is as smooth as they come, and he’s also somebody who won vast praise for his time tagging with Chris Hero and then Tyson Kidd (sorry Jack Swagger).

Smith would obviously branch out and have a successful singles run, even main eventing several PPVs. As for Cesaro, there’s hope amongst fans and even fellow wrestlers that he can go one better than the Bulldog and win himself ‘the big one’ at some point in the future.
