20 WWE Women's Wrestlers You Totally Don't Remember
4. Cherry
Deuce & Domino were WWE’s attempt at bringing the greaser-type characters popularised in films like Grease and West Side Story to the wrestling mainstream, but life on SmackDown didn’t work-out too well for them. They were Tag Team Champions at a time when the belts’ value was at an all-time low, and lasted little over a year before eventually being sent their separate ways.
Cherry was their manager. A once-celebrated indie wrestler, she signed with WWE in 2005, and graduated from developmental in January 2007. Cherry would rarely get involved with Deuce & Domino's matches early on, but she was a catalyst for her team’s feud with Jimmy Wang Yang and Shannon Moore when it was alleged Yang had made suggestive comments about her.
Cherry started wrestling a few months after debuting, but ultimately failed in her quest at working towards the WWE Divas Championship. Deuce & Domino replaced her with Maryse in 2008, and after defeating The Miz’s future wife, Cherry lost a one-sided feud with Natalya and was eventually let go that August.
WWE’s answer to Sandy Olsen never really got off the ground, and Cherry has all but disappeared from wrestling following her release. A shame, as she was a capable worker when given time to shine.
