20 WWE Women's Wrestlers You Totally Don't Remember

12. Carmella (No, Not That One...)

SmackDown's Princess of Staten Island might be the first "Carmella" that comes to mind, but she's not the first performer to use the name.

Carmella DeCesare entered WWE through the 2004 Diva Search, and she was loathed by the other competitors. Though her peers claimed she "wasn't there for the right reasons," Carmella finished as the competition's runner-up, and her departure was saluted with two middle fingers from Maria Kanellis.

She remained with the company afterwards, and engaged in a feud with Christy Hemme, who won the Diva Search. Portrayed as a bitter, jealous loser, Carmella lost a Lingerie Pillow Fight to Hemme at Taboo Tuesday 2004, and was released a few weeks later.

Outside of wrestling, Carmella is a former Playboy Playmate of the Year and has also modelled with Sports Illustrated. Largely treated as eye candy throughout her WWE career, she was at least given the chance to develop her own on-air personality, which is more than you can say for most of her colleagues.
