2. The New Day

Has there been a better in-ring feud in WWE all year than that between The Usos and The New Day? The two teams put on a list of classic tag team matches, bouts that have single-handedly kept the blue brand’s tandem division alive throughout 2017. The New Day brought some much needed star power to SmackDown’s tag division with their move in April.

Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods, and Big E. have also been at the forefront of SmackDown’s attacks on RAW, so the trio must be viewed as an integral part of the Tuesday night puzzle going forward. The New Day are unique - they are a tag team trio that seem to transcend their own division in terms of popularity.

The New Day’s move to SmackDown Live has been an objective success for all involved, and will continue to be so for as long as both sides want it to be. Three years into their run, there is plenty left in the Power of Positivity tank for now.

Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
