Part of his appeal is that he's a dark and enigmatic character, he's a man of few words who does his talking in the ring. In real life, he's also a bit of a mystery. Mark Calaway has always gone to great lengths to protect his privacy. Whereas someone like Shawn Michaels craved attention, Calaway was content and assured in himself. He earned the respect of the WWF locker room due to his humble and authoritative attitude. Nobody would mess with The Undertaker, not even Vince McMahon.
