21 Things We Learned From The WWE Network's NXT All-Star Panel

16. Byron Saxton Is... Good?!

NXT All-Star Panel
WWE Network

For those who just watch Raw, you’ll know Byron Saxton as the guy who rarely says anything, who spews company-fed lines, and who is often cut off by JBL and Michael Cole.

As for those of you who watch NXT, there you’ll find Saxton enjoying some fun back-and-forths with Corey Graves but, ultimately, sounding a little generic.

With the All-Star Panel, the platform allowed for Saxton to show some personality and, dare I say it, likeability. Sure, he had some great guys to work with and the conversation never stopped flowing, but Byron showed that he can actually be pretty entertaining and enjoyable when allowed a little more freedom away from a script or a headset that features an always-irate Vince McMahon.

Is he going to set the word alight and change the face of announcing? Probably not, no. But it was a welcome change to see Byron Saxton allowed to take a more casual approach. Hell, the man even discarded his tie for once!
