Similarly to Jeff Hardy, Christian's rise to WWE fame came from 1998 onwards. He started out as a possible vampire, but by 1999 was more known as a goofy wrestler in the Edge and Christian tag team. The bout that made him a true star was the triple threat ladder match at WrestleMania 2000, in which he teamed with Edge against The Hardy Boyz and The Dudley Boyz. They'd meet again in the first ever TLC, which took place at SummerSlam 2000. Those sort of match of the year contenders meant that Christian was one of the Attitude Era's most featured stars, with regular matches on Monday Night Raw. As a genuinely great worker, he was a Raw regular all the way up to his exit from the company in 2005. He then returned to WWE in 2009, although he initially went to ECW and the Smackdown brands. Injury has curtailed him in the last few years, meaning that his in-ring career is apparently over.
