21 WTF Moments In Daniel Bryan's WWE Career

7. The Championship Ascension Ceremony

On the December 9 2013 Raw, WWE gathered all of its former champions in the ring to watch as the WWE Title and World Title were raised to the ceiling. The symbolism was to represent the unification of the belts, which John Cena and Randy Orton would compete over at TLC. However, rather than giving reverence to the occasion, the Seattle crowd instead bombarded the scene with Daniel Bryan chants. Triple H was delivering lines about the historic unification, and actually had to stop for a minute to allow the chant to pass. But it didn't pass, the chant only got louder, then transitioned into a Yes chant when WWE were forced to acknowledge it. Standing in the background, Bryan look bemused. The segment was meant to be all about Orton and Cena, yet it ended up the night when WWE had to accept Bryan was their biggest active star. It was crazy to watch and hear, with Bryan's popularity with the crowd being reminiscent of Stone Cold Steve Austin's audience connection from back in the day.
