Older fans may know this, but as pointed out in an earlier point, many of WWE's younger and casual fanbase will be unaware of Kane's history. He's been around for so long, that today's eighteen year old fans were still in diapers when he first started as Kane! But before that 1997 Kane debut, and after the Isaac Yankem run, Glenn Jacobs was wrestling as Diesel. That's right, he was meant to be Kevin Nash! Nash had left for WCW, but the WWF still owned the 'Diesel' name and character. So they figured that Jacobs was big like Diesel, just make him the character! It was obviously a fake Diesel, and fans didn't like it. The character was dropped, and even long term fans have since forgotten about the dire run.
