22 Injured AEW Stars (And When They're Set To Return)
10. Wardlow
Wardlow has long dealt with knee issues, and that's precisely why he's been absent from AEW television for much of 2024; his knee is a swine.
Matt Taven, Wardlow's ex(?)-stablemate in The Undisputed Kingdom, confirmed the news while guesting on the Stick To Wrestling podcast. The former ROH World Champion detailed the potential severity of Wardlow's issues (H/T Fightful):
“Wardlow’s out with a knee injury. As a guy with plenty of knee injuries in the past, they can be tricky, you know what I mean? You start to think they’re one thing, and then you think they’re another, and then you think, oh, I can get away with doing this or that and then it seems to be more serious. I think he’s just trying to figure out what the best kind of treatment plan is to get back on track with that knee.”
AEW's 'War Dog' last wrestled defending AEW World Champion, Samoa Joe, on the 13 March Dynamite. When he next adds to his Cagematch.net records is anyone's guess.
Returning: 2025, most likely.
