22 Injured AEW Stars (And When They're Set To Return)

1. Killswitch

It's depressingly probable that we have already seen the final in-ring performance of Killswitch, the former Luchasaurus.

Last competing at All In's Casino Gauntlet match, it was reported on 30 September that the real-life Austin Matelson, 39, had been rushed to hospital with suspected double pneumonia. His blood oxygen level was apparently sub-80%, with his body lacking the production of iron and, it seems, he was days away from developing permanent damage to his lungs. Bryan Alvarez, discussing the matter on a Wrestling Observer Live broadcast, noted that it "could be" a career-ending condition for AEW's big man.

Here's hoping he pulls through, for Austin, not Killswitch.

Returning: Potentially never.
