No, not that John Cena was drafted to SmackDown. I think we all saw that one coming with poster boy Roman Reigns always destined for a spot on Monday Night RAW. The news here, and it is news and not mere rumour because I said so, that John Cena has entered semi retirement.

You're probably thinking to yourself, why King, we know that he has other commitments that will cause him to miss the odd show here and there, where's the news here? I think it goes further than that. I think John will only wrestle at the big events following this Sunday's Battleground showoff against The Club. I think he's going to be that busy, and maybe doesn't want to wrestle all too much anymore that the majority of the time we see him on WWE TV will be building towards a huge PPV match - much like a current day Triple H, if you will.

Let's face it, if John Cena was still a full time Superstar he'd have been the first pick. He's still the franchise player and nobody comes even close to touching him.

The bonafide WTF Moments in the likes of Charlotte, Balor and Styles being picked before him. To me, that confirms he's going to be playing a far more reduced role than any of us could have expected.
