22 WWE Stars From The 2000s That You Totally Don't Remember

1. Scotty Goldman

Any fan of independent wrestling will know who Colt Cabana is. Actually, scratch that: any wrestling fan will know who Colt Cabana is, thanks to CM Punk's infamous appearance on his Art of Wrestling podcast. For many WWE fans, that would have been their first taste of Cabana. But he had wrestled for the company before, albeit briefly. A veteran of the independent circuit, as well as Japan and the United Kingdom, Cabana was a well-travelled veteran before he made it to WWE. Signing his developmental contract on April 3rd 2007, Cabana reported to OVW to learn how to work the 'WWE way'. Over a year later, on August 15th 2008, Cabana made his Smackdown debut as Scott Goldman. His gimmick and style were not dissimilar from his Colt Cabana schtick and he really fit in with WWE's newly PG-rated product. After three singles matches (losses to The Brian Kendrick, The Great Khali and Umaga) and a couple of token battle royal appearances, he was history. WWE gave Cabana a show on WWE.com but it wasn't enough to save him. He was released a little over a month after the show began airing, on February 20th 2009. WWE really missed the boat with Cabana. Can you think of anyone else who had a totally forgettable run in the company in the 2000s? Let us know about them in the comments section below.
