23 Things We Learned From Edge & Christian On Stone Cold's WWE Network Podcast
20. The Kazoos
Austin says that they've loosened up and had their fun but now it's time for a hard-hitting question. He calls them one of the greatest tag teams of all-time and comments on how they've done "some badass stuff" and asks them if they would do him the honour of playing his theme song on kazoo. They respond in the affirmative if Stone Cold will agree to serenade them as well, and whip out a tiny sombrero and child-sized acoustic guitar. All three men crack up with Steve saying as the host he's immune to ribs but since they're so cool he'll oblige them, calling them "some sorry SOBs". The guys break into a pretty awesome rendition of Austin's theme song, and he asks if they ever thought the kazoo would get over like it did. Christian said he wishes he'd known before he spent thousands of dollars on tights and gear that he could have just gone to the store and spent two bucks on a kazoo. Edge credits it to the fact that they were obviously having fun and the fans could sense that and feed off of it. Austin asks if they pitched it to the office and Christian says someone just randomly had one and they worked it into a backstage segment, and it took off from there.
