23 Times The Undertaker's Ego Ran Wild In WWE

17. Coming Back As His Own Man

Perhaps one of the biggest examples of The Undertaker's ego was when he got to come back as himself in May 2000. He'd been out injured from late 1999 through early 2000, and when he returned he was nothing like The Undertaker who had left. Wearing shades, a bandanna, denim and leather, he was instead working the gimmick of an outlaw biker. It went back to his ego complex of wanting to appear tough, so he saw himself as a hells angel character. The fans predictably hated it and wanted the old Undertaker back. It was during this time period that fan opinion really soured against him, as he was clearly using his power to work how he pleased. Can you imagine him telling Vince McMahon that he wasn't going to come back as The Undertaker character?
