Kevin Nash recently revealed that The Undertaker was actually considering a jump to WCW in 2000. The biker character was originally going to be his Nitro persona. The fact that Taker was even considering WCW, it suggests that he felt he could have turned the company around. That hints at the opinion he had of himself, as to some extent he was fancying the idea of being the saviour of WCW. How much of a difference he would have made to the company is debatable. Maybe he was the big signing that WCW needed to kick back on. Or maybe he'd have just been another great expense and political weight. The things that sunk WCW in the end were losses and corporate apathy, things which Taker couldn't have really impacted upon. He decided to stay with WWE, but the very fact that he considered WCW is the proof that he's more about himself than people like to let on.
