2. John Cena Has Been The Franchise Star For Nearly 50% Of Raw History
With a twenty two year history that is certain to pass a quarter of a century in the coming years, the longevity of Raw has been astounding, especially when you consider the prime-time positioning and level of quality on display. But there's also many ironic facts to consider from Monday Night Raw's history. For example, John Cena has been the franchise star for nearly 50% of Raw's celebrated run. Cena debuted on the brand in June 2005, meaning that he's been on the show for ten of its twenty two years. That's significantly more time than the likes of The Rock or Stone Cold Steve Austin reigned in the franchise Raw position. Austin was on top in 1998, 1999 and 2001, while The Rock was a top guy in 1999 and 2000 before being wooed by Hollywood.
