Following the match, Kane has a backstage segment with Seth Rollins and J&J security, where the two talked about the "plan" for the Fatal 4-Way main event match, and Kane curtly told Rollins that he hadn't yet decided whether he was going to help him out or not. Rollins threatened Kane in return, after which Mercury and Noble misguidedly tried to stare some fear into the big guy, who obviously towered over them. All Kane could do was laugh as they all walked away, but the rather forced laugh dragged on for an awkwardly long amount of time once they'd left, resulting in a rather unintentionally hilarious and weird end to the segment. If that laugh haunted your nightmares after watching Payback, nobody would blame you. Kane's normally great on the mic, but this one was just odd.
