One of the more surprising moments of the whole night saw Dolph Ziggler get busted wide open during his match with Sheamus, and given how difficult it is to figure out exactly when Ziggler's crimson mask began to form (probably from Sheamus' stiff headbutt), it seems likely that it was the result of a legitimate cut rather than a blade job. Of course, in the WWE PG era, blood is frowned upon, so the production team made their best effort to shy away from showing too much of Ziggler's blood-soaked face, but it was hard for them to properly disguise one of the gnarliest moments of blood-letting in recent WWE history. It added some drama to the match and was totally effective, even if watching the referee put on some plastic gloves as soon as he saw red looked undeniably silly.
