When Jim Ross says that you're the only reason left to really tune in to Impact Wrestling, that's saying everything. EC3 was already a great wrestler, but now he's, to borrow a phrase from Lex Luger, the total package. When EC3 was Derrick Bateman and floating through WWE's developmental system and TV roster (prior to release), he was a guy who could've benefited from a Performance Center or NXT (as presently constituted) where people could've assessed the issues he was having in getting over and put him in advantageous positions for sticking on the main roster. However, while it's likely taken longer than he expected, EC3 as Impact Wrestling's heel champion is money. It's notable that EC3 is definitely holding his own as an equal to the likes of established superstars like Matt Hardy, Kurt Angle, Bobby Lashley, Mr. Anderson and more. Sometimes a change of scenery is all that's needed to assemble the pieces for success that were there all along.
