Best Match: Edge Vs. Mick Foley

Worst Match: The Boogeyman Vs. Booker T & Sharmell

Performed in front of a Chicago crowd both rabid and hostile, WrestleMania 22 was an incredibly diverse and memorable card, one which compensated for an egregious booking decision in the World Heavyweight Title Triple Threat and a tiresome Triple H ego trip in the build-up through a series of different and exciting matches.

Triple H in the hype had reminded John Cena that he "happened to not be a very good wrestler" and that he "wasn't afraid of the guy whose one big move is pumping up his Reeboks". While he tapped out clean on the night, in a shocker, the damage had been done. Suitably riled up through his fourth wall-breaking display of hubris, the crowd rejected the Cena crowd unanimously to lay the foundations of Cena's fanbase-splitting character, inadvertently creating a 'Mania moment on a night that was full of them.

Edge spearing Mick Foley through a table, Mickie James' (sadly-cut) "V-lick", the ostensibly-dead Vince McMahon's hilarious double bird flip - WrestleMania 22, like XIV before it, was a wall-to-wall smash of a show which is best played out in full.
