Best Match: Bret Hart Vs. Owen Hart

Worst Match: Yokozuna Vs. Lex Luger

WrestleMania X was a two-match show, despite the relative merits of its main event which saw Bret Hart avenge his WWF title loss at the hands of Yokozuna a year earlier. But those two matches were among the very best the promotion has ever produced.

Bret Vs. Owen Hart was the type of story-driven match we don't see any more in this content-heavy era. Attention spans are too limited to appreciate its gradual build-up of tension, which sees Bret reluctantly ratchet up the ferocity of his offence in the face of his jealous brother's obnoxious transgressions.

The first-ever Pay Per View ladder match between Shawn Michaels and Razor Ramon was awarded the full ***** by Dave Meltzer's Wrestling Observer Newsletter - a rarity for the critically-maligned WWF - and with good reason. The two paper Intercontinental champions utilised the ladder seamlessly and without contrivance in their dual quest to literally ascend the upper card.

WrestleMania X was also a booking masterclass. By booking Owen Hart to best his older brother in the opener, the WWF had sewn up their summer feud before Spring had barely sprung.
