25 Best Wrestling Shows EVER

14. WWE WrestleMania X

25 Thumb Final

It was a two-match show, WrestleMania X, but those two matches are immortal. Wrestling matches aren’t necessarily designed to age well, but those two will forever retain a certain magic.

The booking was sensational. The WWF of 1994 was arguably the artistic peak, not that any business metrics support that. At WrestleMania X, the promotion was so bulletproof that they were able to deliver the happy ending and the heartbreaking twist on the same show. Both the wrestling and the booking was nothing short of genius.

Owen shockingly upset Bret Hart in one of the best wrestling matches any company ever promoted. Owen was determined to fight and fight dirty against his brother. Bret, as he articulated with his holds, couldn’t maintain his begrudging attempt to teach the brat a lesson through a fair technical wrestling match. The escalation into something ugly was majestic - earned, vicious, and devoid entirely of melodramatic cringe. Bret managed to slay Yokozuna in the main event, which is best described as “good enough”, setting up a continuation of the feud of the year.

The ladder match between Razor Ramon and Shawn Michaels was mind-blowing at the time. Now, it almost works as well in contrast to the excess that followed. Razor Vs. Shawn, with its intense struggle, has not dated. The opposite is true, if anything. Something was lost.

And Randy Savage Vs. Crush rocked too, more than you may remember.
