25 Greatest "Martial Arts" Wrestlers Ever

5. The Octagóns

Style: Ninjutsu If you thought Mexican ninjas weren't a thing, well, meet Octagón. He's one of the biggest lucha libre stars of the last thirty years, as well as a legitimate black belt in shotokan karate. If you're wondering why a ninja is named after a shape, you can thank the Chuck Norris/Lee Van Cleef vehicle of the same name. Octagón became one of AAA's flagship stars, headlining their seminal When Worlds Collide show against a legendary match with El Hijo Del Santo against Eddie Guerrero and Art Barr. Octagón was a big enough deal that he'd eventually spawn a whole franchise of spinoff characters, including successor Octagón Jr., pint-sized mascot Octagóncito, and evil counterpart Pentagón. Although the original Octagón remains a huge draw in Mexico, Octagón Jr. has shed his black gi to become WWE's Kalisto.
