25 Greatest Matches In WWE SummerSlam History
8. TLC I, SummerSlam 2000
The Hardy Boyz, The Dudley Boyz, and Edge and Christian may have put themselves on the map with their triple threat tag team ladder match at WrestleMania 2000, but at SummerSlam, things would get even more dangerous -- for the first time, WWE would host a Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match. All of the weapons were placed around the ring, making it as easy as possible for the competitors to inflict pain with them.
The match was non-stop carnage: early on, The Dudleyz hit Christian with a 3-D through a table, and soon after, Jeff Hardy put himself through one with a mistimed Swanton Bomb. The participants kept flying and landing badly, and Lita got involved, pushing over a ladder Edge and Christian were standing on.
Jeff Hardy and D-Von Dudley climbed a ladder to retrieve the belts, but Edge and Christian shoved it over. Hardy managed to grab a swinging title, holding onto it above the ring, but Christian hit him with a ladder, causing him to fall to the mat.
After that, Edge and Christian were able to climb a ladder and unhook the belts, repeating their WrestleMania victory.
