Daniel Bryan inadvertently dominated much of Monday Night Raw during 2013-2014 even when he wasn't on the show.

Gathering huge steam following his 18-second loss to Sheamus at WrestleMania 28, the 'Yes Man!' was a galvanised entity from the defeat. WWE created a brief diversion in the form of a Team Hell No pairing with Kane, but in robbing Bryan of his newly-won Title at SummerSlam 2013, the company created a monster.

Though they rewrote history to suggest otherwise, the concentrated de-push was an effort to do just that. Weekly beatings from any and every heel didn't dispel the adoration for his character, nor did segments designed almost entirely to force him into the background. His legacy remains - 'YES!' is still heard any time the fans are happy with anything, almost in opposition to the 'What?' shout that acknowledged a cold disinterest for over a decade prior.
