25 Greatest WWE SummerSlam Matches EVER

13. Bret Hart Vs Doink/Jerry 'The King' Lawler (SummerSlam 1993)

CM Punk Brock Lesnar
WWE

A stupendous slice of Sports Entertainment from the start of Bret Hart's battle with Doink to his conclusive trapping of Jerry 'The King' Lawler in the Sharpshooter, this near-20 minute spectacle brilliantly serviced Bret's blood feud with Lalwer as well as the magnificent mat work of brilliant heel beneath the clown paint Matt Bourne.

A gripping match fought with impotent rage by a p*ssed off 'Hitman' saw Doink toppled in just under 10 minutes before 'The King' - having swore himself off work with a phoney knee injury - battered him with a crutch to kick off the second portion of Hart's evening.

Bret made his own comeback of course, but lost the match when he refused to release Lawler from his tightened submission grip. 'The King' had it coming, and it'd take Hart nearly two years to finally stomp out his looming threat once and for all.
