25 Greatest WWE SummerSlam Matches EVER

12. John Cena Vs Brock Lesnar (SummerSlam 2014)

CM Punk Brock Lesnar
WWE

The second of two remarkably brave bits of booking that year for an otherwise broken 'Beast', Brock Lesnar's SummerSlam 2014 obliteration of John Cena continued the vital rehabilitation of 'The Beast'.

A loss 'The Champ' at 2012's Extreme Rules pay-per-view had thoroughly dented his momentum out the gate, and dishwater dull outings against Triple H stretching all the way into 2013 appeared to have drained him of any further drawing power.

The jaw-dropping WrestleMania XXX win was derided by a sizable portion of the fanbase...until they witnessed his systematic destruction of John Cena the following August. 'Big Match John' was eye-wateringly selfless with his body, and his body of work in allowing Brock to hit him with 16 German Suplexes before a second F5 polished him off. He was basically beaten from the opening seconds after getting surprised with Lesnar's finisher before even having a chance to find his feet.
