25 Greatest WWE WrestleMania Matches Ever

15. Hulk Hogan Vs. The Ultimate Warrior (WrestleMania VI)

From 1984 to 1990, every extended Hogan rivalry that toured the live event bend came in two forms: the gastropodic behemoth begging to by slain by a Superman, and the treacherous 'best friend' that dared double-cross Hulk. Warrior was a new wrinkle: a fellow Superman that laid claim to Hogan's throne. Without face paint, this was the original Mortal Kombat mirror match, new terrain for Hulk's character to explore.

Through meticulous planning and rehearsal, two heavyweights whose best work usually came with the aid of a smaller worker were able to string together a masterpiece. The idea of determining the mightier slayer of giants translated into a dramatic battle that affirmed each man's elite status. Even if Warrior's ensuing reign didn't match up to Hulk's glory years, the match remains a treasure.
