25 Lamest WWE SummerSlam Moments Of All Time

10. The Oddities Versus Kaientai - SummerSlam 1998

SummerSlam 1998 was, top to bottom, possibly the best show from the year that WWE surged ahead of WCW once and for all. The much-hyped Undertaker-Steve Austin WWE Title match was the biggest bout the company could deliver, and, touted as the "Match of the Century," it drew huge numbers. In the semi-main event, The Rock and Triple H had a classic ladder match for the Intercontinental Title that effectively guaranteed both men's futures as superstars. It was a great night for the company.

Still, it wouldn't be WWE without some ridiculous nonsense, and that came in the form of Kaientai (Taka Michinoku, Funaki, Men's Teioh, and Dick Togo) versus The Oddities (Kurrgan, Giant Silva, and Golga). The match was part unfunny comedy, part clumsy giants doing what clumsy giants do, and it went an astonishing ten minutes before The Oddities simultaneously pinned all the members of Kaientai. On commentary, Jerry Lawler directed offensive barbs at the Japanese quartet.

Oh, and to top it all off? The Insane Clown Posse played The Oddities down to the ring. Thankfully, that got edited off the home video release -- too bad the same can't be said for the match.
