21. The Ring Of Fire Match - SummerSlam 2013

SummerSlam 2013 remains one of WWE's best shows from the past several years, but it certainly didn't start with a bang. After months of hype and weeks of appearing on TV, Bray Wyatt stood ready to make his debut against Kane in a Ring of Fire match at the hottest party of the summer. It should have been an auspicious start for the young talent -- not only had his gimmick captivated audiences, but he was facing a former world champion in a unique gimmick match.

Unfortunately, the rules of the bout were ill-defined until the night of the show, when it was announced that the match would go to a pinfall or a submission as fire engulfed the ropes (as opposed to an Inferno match, where the winner must set the loser on fire). Already paling in comparison to its predecessor, the Ring of Fire match saw stilted action with no real drama.

Worst of all, the fire was meant to keep out Wyatt's minions -- Luke Harper and Erick Rowan -- but they extinguished the flames, got involved, and helped Wyatt win. The stipulation was destroyed, the match was boring, and Wyatt -- a great athlete in addition to a charismatic personality -- looked unimpressive.
