25 Lamest WrestleMania Moments Of All Time

20. WrestleMania VIII - Hogan And Sid Headline

WWEcom

There have been many WrestleManias over the years with the "wrong" main event - a match that shouldn't have closed the show, given that another contest on the card was superior in terms of workrate and crowd reaction. One of the earliest examples of this was at WrestleMania VIII, where Randy Savage and Ric Flair collided in a classic title match that capped off an amazing feud.

The final match on the card, though, was Hulk Hogan versus Sid Vicious. Hogan and Sid, not surprisingly, didn't manage to outdo the other half of the show's so-called double main event. It was a plodding affair with a botched ending and a newsworthy - but ultimately meaningless, given his quick departure - return by The Ultimate Warrior.

Nothing about the match, besides the presence of Hogan, screamed WrestleMania, though the result of the choice made was that, for the first time ever, the WWE Championship was bumped to 'Mania's undercard.
