25 Most Iconic WWE Ring Entrances Ever

9. The Hardy Boyz (WrestleMania 33)

Though it would ultimately fade and die like most things, the Broken Universe Matt Hardy crafted in 2016 not only clicked with the last remaining TNA devotees of the era, but also drew in the wrestling audience at large and even a section of the mainstream that looked on curiously as he engaged in end-of-the-world wars with his brother Jeff. Starting as a feud after a particularly aggressive Hardy vs Hardy match sent him off the deep end, the two's maniacal battles eventually resulted in them forming a union as the Broken Hardyz after Jeff's defeat in the 'Final Deletion' rendered him 'obsolete'.

Looking to reward fans with a return that was simultaneously going to be a massive shock and something that was - in its own way - quite plausible, the team was remarkably one of the most relevant acts in wrestling all over again. A WWE comeback seemed inevitable, but it happening at WrestleMania 33 just 24 hours after losing the Ring Of Honor Tag Team Titles to The Young Bucks left even hardened observers awestruck at the sight of it. And by 2017 WWE, hardened observers made up the vast majority of people still attending WrestleMania and likely to make noise for babyfaces rather than heels.

And what a noise. From the moment The New Day intro them, the pop is so ear-splitting that Jeff in particular may as well be dancing to the lights on the Universal Studios set rather than the familiar strains of their theme. A storyline "expedition of gold" was completed as they became Raw Tag Team Champions too, if only to double down on the astonishing reaction the men received upon their return.
