25 Most Memorable Wrestling Promos Of All-Time

6. Ric Flair Returns To WCW In 1998

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E8aoHCCW35A This is another promo that was only allowed to happen because of dysfunction and mismanagement by the people who were in charge of WCW through the years. That's probably a blessing and a curse. Sure, they're out of business now, but at least it provided some entertaining moments while the promotion was still around. Ric Flair and Eric Bischoff had been butting heads for a long time, culminating in a lawsuit against Flair for no-showing a taping of Thunder. After being off of television for nearly a half-year, Flair would return on an episode of Nitro and his promo would lead to plenty of emotions. He was crying, the other members of the Four Horsemen were crying, Tony Schiavone was clearly emotional on commentary, and the fans there in Greenville, South Carolina were ecstatic to see their hero again. Flair was on fire that night. He was always over-the-top with the things he said and the way he said them, but this promo was from the heart and everyone watching could feel his hatred for Bischoff. Once Bischoff himself stormed down to ringside, it was all the ammunition Flair needed to go into overdrive. Yelling and screaming commenced. Flair's infamous line of "FIRE ME! I'M ALREADY FIRED!" was said repeatedly, driving the point home. Again, had WCW not been so screwed up at the top, we probably would have never come close to seeing something like this, so... kudos, WCW?
