Chris Benoit made waves when he made the jump to the World Wrestling Federation in 2000, alongside Perry Saturn, Dean Malenko, and Eddie Guerrero. However, Benoit had made a brief appearance in the Federation five years prior. In 1995, the Canadian Crippler received a tryout for the WWF, but the company decided to pass on him.
1. Tragedy
Chris Benoit was the subject of mainstream headlines for all the wrong reasons in 2007. The former wrestler has become infamous for his heinous actions -- murdering his wife and son before killing himself. The above photograph was reportedly taken during the weekend of the double-homicide and suicide -- possibly on the day of Benoit's death -- and is supposedly the last photo of Benoit alive.
