25 Reasons Why WWE Hell In A Cell 2019 Was An Absolute Mess

3. The Fiend Is F*cked

"Ruined" might be too strong a word here, but WWE took an almighty chunk out of The Fiend last night.

Bray Wyatt has been the one main thing that WWE fans have hitched their hopes to over the past few months. The company had done a stellar job in reviving the man's career, building a character that sounds dumb on paper up to the point that he'd become the hottest thing in the promotion before working a single match. This went through the roof after a successful SummerSlam squash of Finn Balor, and while WWE wrecking him was always a matter of "when" rather than "if" for many fans, the company deserved a degree of trust heading into Hell In A Cell. They'd done nothing wrong with Wyatt up to that point.

Now, the murder clown is on life support. HIAC was a disaster for his character. An awful, universally-rejected main event concluded not only with him failing to become Universal Champion, but one of the dumbest finishes in recent memory. He came out of it looking awful.

If WWE can save him, it'll be a miraculous salvage job.
